“Le Colline sono in Fiore”, I don’t really know how to translate this but it means something like “Blooming Hills” could be the perfect occasion to visit our green and happy hills. If you want to take a break from the city and spend a day out in the fresh air discovering new environments and villages, well just keep your schedule free for Sunday 14th of May.
Cella Monte Municipality, together with the Pro Loco, is going to organize the 13th edition of “Le Colline sono in Fiore”, a special day for our little town that gives us the opportunity to tell you bit about our history showing our territory and hidden treasures and to cuddle you with our food and wine specialties.
During the event it is also tradition to have a sort of competition between the inhabitants and not only, who will have to create funny and beautiful flowered corners. This year’s theme is “Let your paintings bloom” and the participants will have to turn their favorite famous painting into a living, flowered representation. Curious to see what we will bring up? Yes! We are going to participate too and we will also have a tasting corner inside our garden. Is our first event in public and even it might not be that big event, still, we are very excited!

Anyone has the possibility to participate to the competition “Angolo Fiorito“. So if you are going to spend the weekend here and feel creative you can apply asking to the Municipality. Wether you are alone, with your sweet half or in group. At the end of the day a jury will announce the 3 best compositions.
During the day there will be a lot going on around our streets. One activity that seems pretty interesting to us is “The Unveiled Garden”, during which a group of passionate gardeners will spill off all their tricks and secrets for a perfect garden in the astonishing court of the “Ecomuseo della Pietra da Cantoni”. The focus will be on roses, and if you have one at home you can bring a flower and ask question on how to cultivate it the right way.
